Body Treatment

Each session begins with a short conversation where we explore what is currently happening in your body, mind, and everyday life. At Alaya Global, we work from the understanding that the body and the mind are deeply connected. Emotional pressure, stress, tension, or past experiences often settle in the body — and when these areas start to release, clients naturally feel a need to talk. Throughout the treatment, dialogue may arise, and I support you with therapeutic guidance whenever needed. The session is fluid and adapts to what your body expresses moment by moment. During the Treatment: You lie comfortably under a blanket, changing between back and front. For the best result, I recommend receiving the treatment in underwear (and bra/singlet if preferred), so I can work on the full body safely and effectively. The treatment includes deep tissue techniques, rhythmic movements, guided breathing, joint mobility work, and nervous system balancing. Everything is done gently, within your body’s natural limits, and with full respect and communication. What You May Experience: Many clients describe a deep sense of well-being after a session. Common effects include: A lighter, more open body Reduced tension and more space in your breath Increased mental clarity and emotional calm A stronger connection to your physical and emotional resources A feeling of ease, grounding and overall relief Your body begins to reset, and both your physical and mental capacity improve as the nervous system comes back into balance. Possible Reactions After the Session: It’s normal to feel mild soreness or tenderness in the body afterwards. This usually fades quickly. If you have held pain or tension for a long time, you may temporarily become more aware of those areas as the body reconnects with them. Emotional release can also appear — this is a natural part of letting go and integrating the treatment. If needed, I offer a short follow-up call or an additional session to support the process. How Many Sessions Do You Need?: There is no fixed number. Some clients come regularly for maintenance and well-being. Others come when a specific issue needs attention. If the body has been under strain for a long time, it may take several sessions to unwind the deeper layers. Together, we create a treatment plan that fits your needs, your schedule, and your goals. Joint Mobility Techniques: Alaya Global treatments include gentle mobility techniques that free tension in the joints and surrounding tissues. These movements are slow, controlled, and always within the body’s natural physiological range. They help restore flow, reduce restriction, and balance the body’s movement patterns — without manipulation or force. In Simple Terms: The session works on your whole system: your body, your breath, your emotions, and your nervous system. The goal is to reconnect you to your natural balance so you can move, breathe, and live with more freedom.

Psychotherapy

A psychotherapy session at Alaya Global provides a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Each session is tailored to your unique needs, allowing you to move at your own pace and focus on what feels most important in your life at that moment. During the session, your therapist will gently guide you to uncover patterns, beliefs, and past experiences that influence how you respond to challenges today. Many clients choose to continue with weekly or bi-weekly maintenance sessions afterward. Robert Petersen

Founder of Alaya Global with over 30 years of experience in body therapy and holistic healing. Robert’s work unites body, mind, and awareness to help people reconnect with themselves. Robert Petersen (b. 1968) is a father of four and the founder of Alaya Global. His life’s work has always revolved around people, the body, the mind, and human potential – but it truly began more than 30 years ago when he suffered a serious injury. After years of treatment, he was assessed as 50% disabled and advised to retire. Refusing to accept this, Robert sought out experts worldwide and eventually worked with Ole K. Føhli and acupuncturist Tommy Iversen in Denmark, whose guidance helped him recover and find his true calling. Back in 1989, Robert completed an auto mechanic’s apprenticeship – a career he never pursued. While repairing cars didn’t inspire him, he discovered that repairing people did. He went on to study body therapy, psychotherapy, and reflexology, transforming his personal healing journey into a lifelong mission. Since then, Robert has worked with professional athletes, musicians, business leaders, and entrepreneurs around the world – including, among others, Kobe Bryant, David Beckham, and Justin Timberlake – as well as many others within sports, music, and business. He has also contributed to major international events such as Formula 1 and the America’s Cup. Alongside his international engagements, he has run his own clinic in Denmark, with a strong focus on individual 1:1 treatments. In 2020, Robert co-founded the school Balance to Perform in Copenhagen with an investor – a name he had worked under for the past 20 years. The school offered a 2-year body therapy education and ran successfully until 2025, when the decision was made to close it and evolve the vision further. Having worked internationally for decades — treating and teaching across the U.S., Europe, and Asia — Robert decided to establish a central base for his global work. Today, Alaya Global is headquartered in Dubai and operates across Thailand, Asia, and Europe, offering education, workshops, and treatments that unite body, mind, and intuition on an international scale. Through Alaya Global, Robert now offers 1:1 treatments, a 2.5-year Body Therapy Training Program, as well as NADA Education and Ear Acupuncture Education. In addition, the organization conducts workshops in meditation, breathwork, acupuncture, and personal development for both therapists and coaches. A key focus of his current work is intuition training for children and young people, helping the next generation develop self-awareness, emotional strength, and the confidence to follow their inner voice rather than external expectations. Today, Robert works with a dedicated team that includes his son and nephew, along with other highly skilled collaborators who contribute their expertise when required. Together, they continue to build a global network of people living fully, freely, and in balance.

Vincent Petersen

Vincent focuses on physical and emotional alignment, guiding clients toward flow, mobility, and inner calm through intuitive, hands-on work Vincent Møller Petersen 19 Vincent is a body therapist and instructor at Alaya Global, currently finishing his education at his father’s school, where he will be fully certified in six months. With a background in elite sports and a lifelong curiosity for the human body, he combines movement, awareness, and hands-on techniques to help others reconnect with their physical and emotional balance. His approach is grounded, intuitive, and inspired by a deep passion for understanding how the body and mind work together to restore natural flow and wellbeing.

Lukas Petersen

Lukas combines body therapy, breathwork, and mindfulness to release tension and restore balance through presence and awareness Lukas Petersen, 22 Lukas Petersen is a certified body therapist educated by Robert Petersen and a part of the Alaya Global team. Originally from Denmark, Lukas has been deeply interested in people and the human body from a young age. Growing up with a father who also worked as a body therapist, he developed an early curiosity about how the body holds both physical and emotional experiences — and how working with it can lead to profound transformation. When Lukas began his own training under Robert Petersen, he quickly discovered that body therapy is not only about helping others but also about understanding oneself. Through his education, he experienced a deep personal development and learned to connect with his body in a way he had never done before — recognizing himself as a whole being, both physically and mentally. As a therapist, Lukas approaches every client as a unique individual. He combines intuition with body therapeutic techniques to create balance between body and mind, always working with presence, empathy, and respect. Driven by a genuine desire to help others, Lukas is passionate about supporting people in living their lives from the inside out — with greater self-awareness, balance, and connection to themselves.
